CNN host and contributor Van Jones is clearly not a friend to President Donald Trump and the Republican party. Following Trump’s historic election victory last November, Jones whined that it represented a “whitelash” against two elections where Americans voted for a black man as President.
It was surprising, then, that this partisan hack recently turned his sights on two-time failed Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and publicly ripped her apart for her poll-defying, disastrous campaign.
Speaking at an event called the People’s Summit in Chicago, Van chastised the Democratic National Committee for burning a billion dollars to pay themselves and their rich friends while so many regular Americans struggled. Commented Jones, “The Hillary Clinton campaign did not spend their money on white workers, and they did not spend it on people of color. They spent it on themselves, let’s be honest. They took a billion dollars—a billion dollars—and set it on fire, and called it a ‘campaign.’ That wasn’t a campaign.”
He continued, “A billion dollars for consultants. A billion dollars for pollsters. A billion dollars for a data operation that was run by data dummies who couldn’t figure out that maybe people in Michigan needed to be organized.”
Jones wasn’t done. He criticized Democratic politicians for dividing people along racial lines and using their elected positions to make themselves richer. Stated Van about the Democratic establishment, “And now they want us to fight about whether black folks or white workers or Latinos or any other group should get the money. First of all, you need to give the money back to the people, period. Quit getting rich off people’s struggles.” Are you shocked he called his own party out like this? Watch below:
